I like emotion and atmosphere and such first, composition comes behind those. Projector and Haven have the sort of emotions and atmosphere that click harder with me. More gothic and melancholy sounding. The Gallery is much more proficent and riff dense but it doesnt give me the feelings I like. I dont think theres anything wrong with The Gallery it just aint my cup of tea.

Don't get me wrong, I love Projector. I don't really have a problem with someone liking that album more than this, but I just can't fathom putting WATV or Atoma/Construct and literally every other DT album over this.

I love Construct and Atoma though. I like their more key oriented sound.

I don't know why I haven't 5'd Fiction yet lol. And yeah I think the goth sound suits them tbh, Projector/Haven are still among my favorite DT records. It's just that whole crazy riff after crazy riff and more crazy riffs style that drew me to them. Not that the others don't riff cuz they do, but I think you know what I mean.
And @Moog BTD is basically mdm/goth metal (at least what I heard), sounds like they'd be right up your alley. You'd probably like Daylight Dies too, more mdm/doom but still, if you like that melancholic atmosphere I think you'd enjoy them a lot.
