I'm stingy for a reason. Why the fuck would I have an album 5'd unless I truly see it among my favorite albums of all time?

Album Rating: 4.5
I rate based on enjoyability and the personal effect the album has on me so my rating system is probably a lot different than some people on here

Exactly what I do too Zombie. Also agreed with Drift hard.

when I tried to be stingy, I cared too much and often didn't give the proper rating for things I really loved just because I wanted the number to be low. I have a ton of 4.5s and 5s because if I find something I really love, i'mgonna give it a high score. I'malso a very nostalgic person and things that take me back to a specific time are the best
Source I feel that and I think about it a lot when I think of how many high ratings I have but honestly all my 5s and 4.5s are what they are because I love them and im not gonna not give them a good rating just because it looks like I have a lot or some other reason
also because deathbat something can be one of your favorites but not be a 5. I would call most of my 4.5s some of my favorite albums of all time because its still a high score and I still love it a lot

if I really really enjoy something, I will likely give it a 4.5 cus why not? I have limp bizkit 5d cus its a fun as hell album.

Yes Agent lmaoooo.
But yeah idk if I love something I’m gonna give it a high rating. I mean I understand being critical but a lot of people here take it way too far. Some things are flat out terrible but a lot of amazing albums have fucking awful averages here and it’s dumb.

|

Like the only reason I don't have the s/t ETF 5'd is because of City of Sin and Gorgeous Nightmare missing the mark.
|
| |
then ignore the fact that they don't and 5 it tbh

I'll do it eventually, but I know if I ever edit my review and keep that at a 4.5, the site will automatically lower my rating to a 4.5 again lol. Happened when I tried editing my ATR review, I had it at a 4 and then it grew to a 4.5, but I wanted to keep the review at a 4.

Big Syke's Be Yo Self is in like my top 20 albums, but I only listen to about 8 or 9 of the 13 I think because I like it to have a specific mood/sounds throughout. the songs are good, I just never listen to them but I still love the album a ton and its one of my hardest 5s for those songs

Ahh, makes sense. I tend to still stick by the "album is amazing from beginning to end" scale for 5's. Like "Eviscerate Soul" by Break My Fucking Sky, that's one of the only times I'd ever go straight to a 5 immediately.

"Nobody's Listening" is probably the most interesting tune here. Cool production values.

I don’t 5 many albums. Meteora is straddling the line between 4 and 4.5 for me but I decided on a 4 Because I’m a little burnt out on it.

I’m on your side Agent! If the entire album isn’t a 5/5 or at least most 5s with a couple 4.5s, it’s not getting a 5. He’ll, it could be 5/5 for every song, but f one track, out of nowhere, is like a 2.5, it’s not getting a 5.
Not because I’m trying to be overly critical, but a 5 to me pretty much means the album is perfect to me, through and through.

I get that logic but as I grow older I become less critical and less analytical of what my actual score is

Funnily, I had the opposite happen to me. I just like having an accurate record of what albums I find nearly faultless.

@Wonder: and for ETF's self-titled, Gorgeous Nightmare is a 3.5 and City of Sin is a 2.5, but everything else is between 4-5
