Dunno what takes the price for most nostalgic album for me; this, or Hotel California (worlds apart, I know)

I heard this a good 6 years back when I was a young teen.

Mum used to feel uncomfortable with me listening to Eminem and other 'violent' hip-hop haha

Yeah - The Eminem Show is excellent, but after that... Damn.

I even think Recovery is poor, he doesn't rap with the same conviction as he does on this

Honestly, I haven't heard it all the way through. Relapse was better than Encore, though, but like you said; he doesn't rap with the same conviction.

Relapse was poor too, I don't know I just thought he became too self indulgent on later records, recycling his hatred of everything but in a childish and cynical way.

Yeah, it's like he'd used up all his anger, but still wanted to get a little more blood out of the stone. It doesn't sound as terrifying or real as in his years of prime. He keeps on rolling in the same pace, but without the passion or sincerity.

Too right, he will never recapture the terror of 'Kim', hell can any other MC?

I think not - tracks like Kim, Stan, The Way I Am, etc. are unmatchable songs, some of the best out there without a doubt
