overly compressed. everything sounds lifeless. kit sounds completely flat, especially the snare which almost melds into the kick drum when both play together.

PtH's vocalist gives me a headache, In Hearts Wake is awful, and I've only ever heard the other band a few times but it wasn't very memorable from what I remember.

Not a fan of metalcore with the generic clean choruses, and In Hearts Wake is about as generic as a core band can get, and idk what it is about PtH but I can only take listening to their vocalist for like 5 mins at a time tops. I don't think I would last an entire PtH set.

The show was pretty good. Protest the Hero wasn't AS terrible as I was expecting (thanks to the guitarist mainly), but the vocals were pretty shit and I got tired of it like halfway through the set. In Hearts Wake was shit, the 68 band or w/e their name was was interesting, and ABR was amazing. Was so hyped for Back Burner and Composure in particular.

Objectively they probably weren't, but I've never really gotten into '68 and I've loved this album for so long there's no way I couldn't love the entire thing performed live
