That songs better than people give it credit for even if it drags in the last third

It's definitely the least loved epic on here

the last 3 mins of grand conj are pointless as fvck but the song rules otherwise

It's ok. The radio edit does it some justice but is still nothing compared to the other epics here

It has like 3 amazing moments other than that its decent and yeah drags in the last few minutes

The only thing I like about it is the vox, which are among the most brutal on the album

There's some great instrumental parts like the amazing guitar solo transitioned into the dissonant arpeggiated section, and then the proggy part toward the end

the radio edit was the worst thing that could be done for the song

The radio edit kept all the good parts of the song so I might be inclined to agree with Choccy on this one

well when I first heard it, I thought it dragged on for too long, so i was hoping that the radio edit would strip it down and avoid the unnecessary parts. The only thing that it failed to do is maintain the build up, which is pretty good in the verses

It seems to be a common trend on this album that like half the songs start amazing but then drag in the last third, it's really too bad

All except GOP. Yeah, that's the biggest flaw on this album I suppose, but the parts that drag on are more forgivable unlike the ones of Deliverance

Of course, this is still an easy 4.6/4.7. Harlequin Forest could be top 3 songs for them if they just did something about that last third. Hours of Wealth drags in the second half too

isolation Years and Baying don't drag on so much at least. The album is probably a 4 for me cos I dislike Grand Conjuration and everything said above

I 5'd it because I'm a fanboy. And yeah thankfully those don't drag, same with Beneath the Mire. Though if the last few minutes of Ghost of Perdition lived up to the rest of it, it would probably be my Opeth song, but after the guitar solo is just seems to not know what to do with itself
