Anyone else agree with me that Culling Voices is the worst post-Undertow Tool song? I derped so hard the first time I heard it OMG!! xD

I think it's straight up their worst song. The first half is good but the second half is clearly unfinished.

Yeah but the ending is terrible. Generic as fuck riff with no singing over it. I get it from a conceptual level - culling voices, no singing. It's all very clever and maynard is really really smart and subverting, but as a song, the second half is awful. I actually laughed the first time i heard it. the ending is especially bad, it sounds like a high school band that didn't know how to finish a song.

Agreed that Culling Voices is easily the worst song here. It's the one song I never look forward to whenever I jam the entire album; even the first half is pretty damn bad too tbh

Culling voices is the weakest track but its melody before the breakdown is very nice and the meaning of it is also great. Always thought we as listeners were suppose to fill in vocal gap with a bellowing “me” that was suppose to be there originally. Whole point to the album is to inoculate ourselves from negativity, so mjk thought it would be fun to have us participate lol

The one and only
You are my celebrity

잊지마 넌 흐린 어둠 사이
왼손으로 그린 별 하나
보이니 그 유일함이 얼마나
아름다운지 말야
You are my celebrity

I also like the first half of Culling Voices but overall it’s my least favorite track on here, besides Chocolate Chip Trip. Not sure if it’s their worst song since Undertow though, but probably in the bottom 5 not counting interludes ofc.

Chocolate chip trip is about the most disappointing way a Danny Carey drum solo could have turned out.

I really don't see the point in CCtrip. Danny is overplaying on this album for over an hour, its the most unnecessary drum solo ever.

Probably because he’s overcomensating for the underwhelming performances from everyone else

Even if this album is a little more mid tempo than I would have liked, until the last two tracks of course, they're all performing impressively. Maynard sounds as great as ever, and their guitar playing has always been less complex than people think. 10X Days was a noticeable step up in that regard. The drumming however has always been ridiculously technical, Danny is one of the all time greats.
