big Meat Loaf fan eh
|

Yes, and Hanz Zimmers Lion King.
/ there is nothing wrong with liking Meat Loaf more than this tbh
|
| |
but lets be honest, Meat Loaf is not > this.
LYSF is better than this, though, by a smidgen.
|
| |
Mb it is, mb it's not.

I also need to throw out a huge lol @ Hanz Zimmer, by far the most overrated film score composer in all of cinephilia.
|
| |
I agree. But I also think most soundtrack music is lame so.

There are a ton of ideas here lifted from previous 90s indie and post-rock groups, which i think were done much better then than here.
and Yorke's vox are kind of annoying. If I wanted high pretty dude vox I'd just go for sigur ros.

Probably a fair point, but there's v limited crossover from Swans
"and Yorke's vox are kind of annoying. If I wanted high pretty dude vox I'd just go for sigur ros."
If this was a Disneyland shooting gallery you've have missed the target by an obtuse angle and shot Mickey Mouse in the arse

i'm taking the piss there dudes cmon lol
i'm listening to this now as i work and i'm still feeling the same ways as before. Airbag is a great start and I rly like that track, but then until the great layered vocal melodies on Let Down it's just uninteresting art rock that doesn't move me at all. Melodramatic vox and instrumentation that doesn't do *enough* to match it or elevate it, it's just kinda half-weird-half-accessible art rock like eh.
