Main reason why I don't go to big festivals anymore.

Same for metal festivals: you go once, then never come back because the lineup is always the same

I saw Priest on a festival in '12 and even then it was embarrassing.

Doesn’t help that festival goers nowadays are stomping round in their one hundred quid wellies waving dads credit card around and bleating on about Corbyn.

Listening to this record the first time. Always noted the buzz people are making over this band and this particular album

Exited to say the least

Looking forward to your reaction. It seems this album has become divisive now.

"IT WAS BETTER IN THE OLD DAYS" x2

I can only name a couple of 2000s bands that I love.

Sooo, I finished my first listen. Gotta say this is a really uniquie and diverse record with a lot of different textures and sounds going on. I also find the transitions within the songs really really well done. Will definitely spin this more often. I gotta say, I usually do not listen to "calm" stuff very often but if I'm in the right mood I can see this complementing it

Noice, although I'm quite impressed you've managed to avoid listening to it until now

"Now most every headlining act at mainstream festivals are made up of 50-70 year olds because no classic bands have come out for 20 years"

What about Kings of Leon :p

Yeah idk, somehow I always thought about rh as band for elitists that just rave about them cause it's "in" to do so.
After listening to this I can totally see why it connects with so many people. Hits the right balance between being artsy and emotional.

I can imagine being a "weed album"

I had a friend who was a total screw up, and this was the only CD in his collection that I liked. Whenever I hung out with him, the night always went horribly wrong and his buddies would trash whatever place we were hanging out at, and we'd all get stupidly drunk. I always woke up first, and this was my hangover music while everyone was passed out, amidst the ruins of furniture and bottles. The CD smelled like TCP because he tried to clean it with antiseptic when it started skipping. Whenever I see the album cover I still smell a faint antiseptic smell.
