I wanted to love this, and really do like the lyrics and whole narrative vibe, but I just wish the songs were better musically. Like give me something memorable or different or downright melodic. Maybe I compared this thing too heavily to Worry., which is my gold standard 'aging pop-punk star' album, but this thing just doesn't have enough melodic chops to keep up. I did only give it one listen, in fairness, but nothing STUCK with me in particular beyond the lyrics.
