^agree w/ this
SCIENCE FICTION has really won me over in time. if nothing else, i think it will end up being their most timeless record.

Wish I could find something to like about that one

I am sure that SF is the best "objectively" and its first two tracks are absolutely beautiful.
But as I said some time ago, also talking with Sowing I believe, I find myself coming back to Daisy the most lately.
And Noro is extremly powerful emotionally, like hypnotising stuff for me, when I don't want to feel good but connect with the ungood of the day.
SF was a perfect ending, but I don't want their voice to end and feel like with everything that has happened, to them and in the world, a new record is something that should appear if a few years. Probably won't, but should.
It's so ironic that in the relativist culture, much of which is built on evil appreciation - just think of trap/drill generally - it was them who went away in infamy.

I think everything aside from YFW has aged well. I'm even warming up to Deja, which I honestly didn't really like until recently.

Deja is a grower. Daisy is, too, but more like growing from great to masterpiece.
|
| |
Deja has aged dubiously af outside of a couple of transcendental highlights and there is no need to apologise for it
|
| |
Deja has aged fairly well by pop-punk standards, and if that sounds like damning with faint praise that's because it is

Daisy has probably aged the best
I remember so many people being disappointed when it first dropped but it might have been a little ahead of its time

Absolutely hated this album at first listen, it took me like a year to listen to it again. Now it's close to be above Deja Entendu in my list.
I hope one day Science Fiction will click like Daisy did.

Best to worst in terms of aging:
Daisy >>> TDAG > YFW >>> Deja. TBD where Science Fiction will fall, but something tells me it will age better than TDAG and lower than Daisy.

Agreed with that take

Mine is: TDAG > Sci Fi > Daisy > Deja >>>>>>>>>>> YFW
I hate YFW

Album Rating: 5.0
but is that your ranking in terms of how they aged?
I actually think YFW aged better than Deja lol

That is my overall favorite list.
Aged list: Daisy > TDAG > Sci Fi > Deja > YFW
Lol, sorry, I just LOATHE everything about YFW. I think it's stuck in the early 2000's far more than Deja in every way imaginable.

huh. seems like a strong hatred for such a casual pop punk record. it isn't great, and has aged the most noticeably, but it has some fun tracks (Mix Tape, Seventy Times 7, Logan to Government Center, Magazines)

If it clears it up, I am not a fan of hardly any pop-punk.
Deja only grew on me over a couple years because of my fiancé always having it on. I'd make fun of it, and then two or so years later found myself wanting to listen to it. TDAG and Daisy were instant gratification for me though.
