Never got the intense love for scurrilous. It's a good album but several of the songs are pretty forgettable.

I like this album a lot too, but can't fathom it being a top contender in their discog tbh. They clearly upped their technical skill but some of the lyrics are just ugh. New song gave me those same vibes but whatever, what can you do.

Reign of Unending Terror is the only track I find pretty boring. Tongue-splitter and Termites are others I don't actively think about but they are both objectively great. Other than that, love em all to death.

i'm still getting used to rody's new vocal style but i'm liking the songs the more i listen to them. i really like the subdued bridge of "from the sky". i've been wanting them to do more with the piano beyond using it as an accent for the guitars. good stuff.

Wouldn't mind if they changed up the piano tone once in a while. They use too much of that bright grand sound and the entire thing starts sounding like Keane or some shit

after listening to it like 20 times, i can say confidently that i REALLY like it. very excited for the record. "the canary" had already grown on me, but "from the sky" is definitely better. rody's vocals in the second half of the song are insane.
