"I'm more worried about this shifty fucking examiner who for some reason has royally fucked the whole geography year and might screw up the grades we need to get into our unis."

"but I'm assuming this is only if you're homeschooled?
I don't think they do that over here"
if you're referring to the in-state and out-state differences i'm pretty sure it's universal
|
| |
OMG STOP, WHERE IS THIS EVEN GOING
NOWHERE
|
| |
" SHIT, I heard about that from a few friends"
Yeah it's pretty widespread but I think we were one of the worst affected cos we're meant to be in the top 5 state schools in the country or something and no one got an A and only two got Bs
|
| |
But we still haven't worked out why it happened or if we can do anything about it

No because I did well in HS and am getting paid to go to school so CC would still be more expensive. CC's are only a good choice if you're driven enough to work hard and shit. And even then, you have difficulty transferring in credits. My friend is a transfer from JC taking the same level classes as me as a third year (I'm first) because nothing transferred, and what did transfer he didn't feel comfortable with and so is retaking for no credit.
Don't get me wrong, it's smart because if you load up those last two years you can graduate paying 2 years' worth of tuition, but my friend said most of his CC friends who transferred also expect to graduate in 3 more years anyways.
@Alex, nice dude. Let us know if you get Professor Mosby (ha...ha............)

you shouldn't have to ask me that question.

"But we still haven't worked out why it happened or if we can do anything about it"
That sucks major ass man. I had a friend who got mismarked and given an E for a paper which eventually led to him not getting a B overall so he couldn't get into his uni of choice.

Ah, that's true. I didn't consider the quarter system would the experiences of my friend (and his friends) not applicable.

I probably won't get into university at all if we can't resolve it. I think a lot of people are in that position

Yeah obviously with any generalization there are any exceptions. You'll probably be fine, but most CC transfers... I dunno it's just not as smooth as we were told in HS.
Anyways great chat everyone, gotta get food, study for finals with friends, and then attend a review session.
I expect the conversation to have returned about how deserving this is of its hype hwen I'm back!
