@spacesh1p: ok, so I guess I contradicted my own thoughts earlier, as I just found my Magma review where I said this:

"Abandoning the technical death metal sound that got them popular in the metal world might seem like a betrayal to some, but I’ve always seen Gojira as more of a progressive metal band anyway."

So I guess even I thought the band weren't much of a death metal band, lol

The solos on here are so sick, esp in Flattening of Emotions and Vacant Planets.

Yeah, love that solo section in Flattening of Emotions, how it goes from fairly melodic to really jazzy and technical

Human-esque song from Gruesome. I do admire the fact that they don't hide the Death worshipping. If anything, they wear it proudly and do a good job at it too. Also features Sean Reinert.

This gets better with every spin, amazing album. Can't get enough of it, on repeat for almost two weeks now. Will probably have no choice but to 5 it eventually.

Can't we just get a better sounding Human?

Anyway if they go into this direction I may take a peek. Vocals need more character if they want to do it though

Look at the drum & bass tracks from the remix, no wonder Di Giorgio felt like smashing his Human copy after listening to it
