this is better than Daesin and Planetary Duality. and it’s a whole lot better than the shit that worships this (archspire)

Eh, I actually enjoyed Archspire's last album quite a bit. Wasn't revolutionary or anything, just fun
|
| |
Archspire don't even worship these guys, they're basically Origin with hooks

maybe ‘worships’ is a bit too harsh but I feel like the vocal patterns and a lot of the riffage is definitely (but not solely) inspired by this band. and yea you’re not wrong, the Origin influence is heavy there too

Never occurred to me to compare Planetary Duality to this. I like PD but this is different and a whole other league.

Okay, I may not be a fan of this album, but even I wouldn't put anything by the Faceless above it...

This is an arguably more musically mature album than Planetary Duality however not as much fun

For me it's partially a length issue too. 52-53 minutes is a bit much for a tech-death record imo… I prefer anywhere between 30-40 minutes personally (with exceptions here and there of course)

Luckily, this album's content is so good that I'm perfectly happy to keep it at a 4.5 despite that little hangup

One of the best tech death bands of all time
