i mean when this first came out I liked it more than Alligator, but after Alligator grew on me, I put it over this. But I really don't see how this is at all better than Boxer, even though its quite an amazing record

indeed. it's kind of like what happened to chambered with leaves turn inside you, i just finally got it and every track hits really hard.
and the ones I used to not like, namely looking for astronauts, friend of mine, and lit up, are now all really awesome and it completely turned for me.

i never really got that, to me it was the easiest to get into. mostly because alligator is a bit underdone and high violet is the most grandiose. boxer just seems like the most genuinely hard-hitting tunes to moi.
