This is a shit ton more adventurous than The Amulet. The production/atmosphere isn't as mature and consistent, however. On Glass Arrows atm.

'I Felt Free' and 'Imaginary Enemy' are okay. First three tracks had me thinking this might be a classic though.

'Through The Desert Alone' is sweet. My opinion is back on the upswing.

A 4.5 on first listen. Definitely a stronger release than The Amulet, even if I prefer that album's overall atmosphere & vibe.

This is the only truly classic album Circa has, although Juturna comes close

I absolutely love frozen creek which is funny as greyshadow rated it in the bottom 2 of the album. when i saw the OLG anniversary tour i went to the VIP acoustic set and they played it. really made my night.

only a couple more years until they can do a 10yr anniversary tour of this album and i’ll finally have it on vinyl for not an insane price

I find that opening guitar line from 'In the morning and amazing...' that they repeat throughout the song to be obnoxious and almost worth skipping. should have played that line once and moved on.

I like Frozen Creek, it just doesn't do much for me. Not sure why.

What's with this guy's voice? Not sure I like it. My initial reaction was to recoil in disgust but I persevered & now I'm just unsure.

i've enjoyed circa survive's entire discography, but i just feel like this is leaps and bounds above the rest of it and they haven't come close to it since.

I think I'm over these guys. Descensus had nothing to keep me interested even after buying it, and I didn't bother giving the amulet more than a couple of spins before deciding it had nothing that I couldn't already find in their first four albums.

Only thing I remember about this is the obnoxious vox.
