they definitely need to work on their songwriting next album instead of trying to top their successive album and being like Dream Theater & Opeth

How can you measure quality of music in distance?

Sometimes this is a 4.5 when I listen to it, others it's like a 3.5. I'm like that with Colors too actually it's weird. I guess I just have to be in the right mood to really enjoy them the most.

Swim to the Moon screams Dream Theater. It also has that fantastic riff 2/3 into the song (best riff on the album, I'd say) that completely plagiari-err, takes influence from Opeth but I could care less because it RULES

i really don't see the btbam/dt comparison or similarity.

They both make bad music?

"Prog" isn't a descriptive genre tag at all; it's too broad - it's moreso an excuse to be pretentious and record long songs but it

has no "sound", does it?

talking myself into a hoooole, shit

James Labrie would be a pretty good pop-punk vocalist.

Scratch that - vocalists generally considered bad.

Labrie is practically Dickinson compared to Rogers.
