Musically, it borrows from the above mentioned Amebix, of course, circa Arise! or Monolith (the tribal metal thing), spiced up with the incessant, industrial pounding of Swans (another obvious source of inspiration) or maybe Godflesh and with the flawless musical attack and slower approach that Slayer had perfected by South of Heaven and Seasons in the Abyss. At least, to these ears. It definitely has a trippy, psychedelic feel to it and, again, I dig that.

early amebix is way more postpunky than the mid 80s metallic stuff that theyre best known for. some pil siouxsie killing joke in there
