I mean, that and Subterranean are their best, I'll say that much.

Mexico has a lotta sick dm bands. Shub Nuggurath is another good one

This is obviously way better than TJR, but you really don't think there's any good songs on that album? Kind of surprised you wouldn't dig something like Moonshield, Artifacts of the Black Rain, December Flower, or Dead Eternity if you like mdm. Also, a couple cool instrumental tracks on that album.

IF was never on the same level as these guys or At the Gates but their first few albums are still good imo.

Moonshield and The Jester's Dance are good but virtually everything else on that album is either boring or infuriating.

At least you like The Jester's Dance. I know it's fairly simple but still one of my fav instrumentals.

Oh, they do try to mix it up with some shiftier, more technical stuff on Wayfaerer but it's not as effective as it otherwise pretty poor as far as the album goes.

No one even mentioned Moog’s 2.5 lol

I like old In Flames but I agree that it doesn’t hold much of a candle to early DT or AtG

I love everything In Flames did up to and including Come Clarity but yeah this and Focus are better than their whole discog for me.

If Whoracle didn't have Everything Counts it would be as good as this imo

Srry bby tried this album and it bores me a lot. Ill still give it at least a 2.5 because I respect this album and its done by a band that I like. Its just that I prefer the melancholy atmosphere of Projector and Haven.

Projector is very close to this too yeah. 2.5 is blasphemous though.

Im not rating an album that makes me feel nothing above 2.5 lol. Im not gonna give it anything below 2.5 since I dont think theres anything bad about it but it aint going higher. Usually with albums where I feel like this I tend to not rate them but I made an exception with this one since I like DT a lot.

Damn dude you even put WATV over this? Looks like this is your lowest rated DT lol how is that even possible

You're not the first I've seen with that opinion though, I've seen a few rank Projector and others very highly and not like much from this album. I just can't comprehend it but to each their own, I suppose.

I'll take a 2.5 The Gallery over a 1.5 Whoracle or 1 Clayman any day
