Metal fans are geeks by definition. If you listen to a lot of metal and are not willing to admit that
you're a geek then you're probably just a Pantera or metalcore kid, in which case plz gtfo.
This genre reeks of Lord of the Rings and other fantasy/sci-fi worship. If you're not a geek after
listening to Summoning or Burzum then you need to re-evaluate your priorities in life.

I don't remember what album or song it was, but I remember a friend of mine told me to check out Dissection after he showed me Agalloch for the first time, and I was blown away. If you don't want to count Not Unlike the Waves as Black Metal (which I wouldn't either), then I guess that Dissection album was what got me into BM.
