Of course, PT is a great band. Always like them.
Long time since my last play.
I will get a more recent full discog of them & re-dig a few LP.

New song gud

I'm hopeful for the new album. Incident was good on first listen, but after that it grew off me realllllll hard and now I never jam it. Hope this one sticks a bit more

All the new material so far (two singles I think?) has sounded like Steven Wilson’s solo work tbh, not getting PT vibes

to be expected tbh

they scheduled a debut concert in my country but I've got no money. Don't you hate when a concert is announced and they only give you like a week to get the money before starting to sell tickets?

The new songs do sound a lot like his solo work meets The Incident to me. Am encouraged by the track list having some longer songs.

I wonder if Dignity is gonna have any relation to the Opeth song of the same name

I am very upset that I am only just now hearing this for the first time. This is stellar.

Been spinning a lot of PT lately, even diving into their earliest releases which for some odd reason I never got around to the first time I was obsessed with this band.

Hopefully it won’t be the last. This and The Sky Moves Sideways is their finest material.

In Absentia, Deadwing, Signify, and Stupid Dream too.

Yes Personal Shopper was long too, but I don’t get the sense this new PT album will be similar to Wilson’s last album The Future Bites, at least that’s what I hope.

Long time fan. For some reason I'm starting to feel slightly annoyed with Stevens voice. Too bad since I still enjoy the music om most of their records, including this.

IA is the perfect PT album cause it balances all their elements perfectly, and he appropriately shuts up his thin reedy voice during the heavy metal parts. In DW and this he doesn’t, like in the t/t, which doesn’t really work for me.

Thankfully there’s an instrumental version of this album that I greatly enjoy, cause musically it’s brilliant, especially tracks 2-4.

Idk, IA is actually one of the PT albums I return to the least these days. I loved it when I was younger, but a lot of the material seems clunky and even a bit dated to me now. Still quite a fine album, but I think it could have benefitted from a shorter tracklist and less hamfisted metal sections (granted, this has some of the latter as well)
