it's one of those albums thats super close to being quite brilliant but also even closer to being pretty much complete trash. the fact that you can't quite tell makes it more intriguing tbh.

I said I was even gonna jam 1989 for you but then I accidentally jammed Ravedeath 1972 instead and thought damn Taylor you've upped your game this no singing business was really working for you
fuckin lol. i will say this about 1989 tho, what a fuckin rough start. that opening track is just flat out bad. in my ipod i just swap it out with state of grace, the opener to her last album, which is much better imo (it's basically taylor's rendition of u2/rem's discog so idk if that sounds palatable at all but idk i dig)

I don't mind Welcome to NY but I still swap it out with New Romantics because that rules and at least it's from that album

new romantics is amaze yes, but i don't think it's a great album opener...not sure which song on 1989+bonus tracks would be the best opener replacement...

I actually think it's a superb opener. I still can't believe it didn't make the album at all though.

You know, judging from all the times my sister raves about these guys, I should hate them so much. But I guess I owe my sister an apology.

Damn, I was just listening to a few track off of this a few days ago.

Dead! is a damn good track. And I still do enjoy the Black Parade, as schmaltzy as it is.

It's pretty embellished in it's theatrics, especially the music videos. It's somewhat pretentious, but it's hard to make anything ballsy without a little of it.
