What's Closer like compared to this
Deeper, more emotional, more (successfully) atmospheric, has a more purposeful shape as a record, feels like a concept album even though it technically isn't. It's really far better than this in just about every way.

i can appreciate the influence these guys had on music but jesus christ their music is boring, and Ian cant sing.

honestly, i cant imagine how the rest of the band would be like "yeah, this is the guy. this is who should sing for us." like how the hell did that happen.

there are singers with a range and the proper ability, sure, but that's not a measure of "good" really, it's an art, and he can deliver the emotion, heavily. i hear this argument way too often.

for sure anything can be annoying to anyone. but if it works for hordes of people, obviously there's something going right that people connect with. "ian can't sing" just seems kind of a wank statement
