Maybe I'm wrong, but seems like signs are pointing to the Daoboys recording new music already.

Those last couple studio updates got me excited! Also I'm sure they're inspired following these successful tours

"Djrum" (2)
well, actually Djrum is *checks notes* 4th, but close enough - I just wanted to offer support
will probably give this another once over in an hour or so, I'm getting the urge for something exceptionally silly

As much as I like this album, I really hope they return to a more CT-esque sound. I need more of the crazy heavy moments that the seven string guitars and the super clean production just don't deliver on as often for me.

i was honestly quite surprised how "tame" they were when i saw them live, considering how wacky the music is and how much praise they've got from their performances. and don't get me wrong, they were absolutely great and had some hilarious visuals but i was expecting even more chaos

That’s kinda crazy, because they were batshit when I saw them live.

that's what i'd heard too which is why my expectations were off the fucking charts, they just weren't quite able to match that. i do have a chance to see them again next year and am not planning to miss it

Finally listened to this album. It's crazy good. At first I wasn't sure but I kept coming back to it. Body Horror For Birds does nothing for me though. And I could do without the 1st and the 12 track (intro and kind of interlude). Maybe they could have cut a bit of the intro of Country in Reverse too and the album would have been better for me.
Faverite songs are Two Headed Trout, Lemon and Mona Lisa

might sound stupid but with six members they just physically do not have enough space to move around much on the stages they are playing, which i think kinda caps how "crazy" they can really get.
would also say despite their sound, i feel like they attract a bit less of the standard hardcore crowd than one would think. even when i saw them headline (pre this album) barely anyone was trying to mosh and absolutely nobody was hopping on stage. felt like the daoboys were the most abrasive thing they listen to and they'd easily go see a bcnr type band over a jesus piece

I was shocked that I was one of the only people hc dancing during their set when I saw them a few months ago. I almost felt bad about how hard I was moshing lol
