Amazing album, every song is, at worst a good song, and at best, a classic. This album is what got me into RHCP, as I'm sure it did for many others. Say what you will about the musical direction of this band post-BSSM, but this album is a classic

I'd replace Niandra with The Empyrean. Niandra has grown on me though.

Dreadful record from one of the most overrated bands of all time.

Cokehead Anthony Kiedis delivers some of the worst vocals of all time on this record and live. This guy was in the right place at the right time, because his lyrics are horrendous and his crooning makes me vomit.

Next up we have Flea... I mean who even gives themself a nickname like that? The guy can slap a bass... big deal. I can name 10 bass players from multiple genres that put this overrated douche to shame.

Subpar drumming from the overrated Chad Smith. I have seen 5 year old kids on Youtube play better than this guy. Forgettable performance.

The perfect word to describe guitarist John Frusciante is overrated. Actually that word works for the whole band.

You can put one song on repeat for 74 minutes and you have heard the entire album. Nothing memorable, no innovation, and an insult to funk.

Soccer moms get lightheaded over Phil Collins while their braindead, 15 year old sputnik posting children, cream over the awful pop-funk-lite tunes of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I'll take Phil Collins singing Sussudio with a stuffy nose over whiny Anthony Kiedis puking on the mic while 'performing' Suck My Kiss.

Boring, too soft, too long, annoying, pretentious, and overrated beyond belief. Just a few words to describe this weak band.
