'This Wild Willing' is infinitely superior to this

This Wild Willing is excellent but the second half plateaus a bit. Still top 5 from 2019. LDR just happened to create her best album so for me it takes the cake.

Naww. How to Disappear, The Greatest, Happiness is a Butterfly, and Hope is a Dangerous Thing are all phenomenal, and even the weaker tracks are still good.

Instrumentally they're far too bare to be sandwiched together imo, plus I could easily have done without a couple of them to tighten them up
While the second half of TTW is significantly less grand, they still have unique styles and round out the album gorgeously. But still, both albums are awesome so I'm arguing about nothing really (:

Dunno, to me this is just a 'service station discount chart rack' sort of album - in that category it's a world beater, but it's definitely that category.
One to buy with a few groceries and some sticks of gum.

"'This Wild Willing' is infinitely superior to this'
Only heard this once, but that was enough to say this goes without saying

adulthood is when you hate all music but can't quite let go
it hurts
|
| |
does it make you want to write semi ironic things like
Me and my friends, we miss rock and roll
I want shit to feel just like it used to
When, baby, I was doin' nothin' the most of all
|
