because ~hipsters~, ~perverting bm~, whatever.
jammed again today and reconfirmed how it's better than the prev album. Less stylistically consistent, but musically a bit better and less wonky. If they could do this kind of album again but with less awkward leads/solos and no random duets, they could pull off another sunbather.

nah. They do the same chug riff in diff songs in sometimes bad places, random out-of-tune guitar fill riffs, awful solo in baby blue, gifts for the earth is a weird post-metal song that sounds like its sections were stapled together... this is much more stylistically cohesive, even though Night People is awkward af and worthless animal feels kinda pointless.
