I can totally understand that, they're really fun albums. What I like so much about Demon Days is that it is so cohesive it's like a story or concept album. There's a real sense of going somewhere, from the creepy intro culminating in the tree part perfect ending.

It's funny because pretty much all of the deluxe edition songs are better than the majority of tracks that made the actual cut

Yeah this one was a total mess. Never ever feel the need to revisit it. Plastic Beach was cool, many great tracks and nice flow for their standards.

Listening to the now, now the whole way through for the first time right now and it's ok in contrast to this but if this is offensively mediocre then the now, now is inoffensively mediocre

I'm struggling to remember any songs from this that I enjoyed (or remember). Reading the track list, I liked Submission, and Damon doesn't even sing at all in that.
I thought there was a song called Ticker Tape, but I guess that's the deluxe edition. I liked that one too.

Hate momentz personally. One of my least favs. Gorillaz makes me hate de la soul tbh. Super fast jelly fish was by far my least favourite on plastic beach too

There are definitely a few quality tracks across the deluxe edition, and every gorillaz album has duds, but this one just has too many duds and mediocre tracks for me to warrant any higher of a rating
