HOT TAKE: DGD really should just get rid of Tilian and get Kurt Travis back in the band.

Yeah, I think Tillian maybe needs rotating out. I like his stuff, but I prefer their earlier stuff still.
Kurt would be great back in the band. I'd still totally dig Jonny coming back.

they're settling into a sound, and i'm fine w/it. we were spoiled that they kept switching singers before and changed their sound accordingly. this is the only band i know where people are just like "oh well, switch out the singer!" ... it makes me wonder if they didn't have that revolving cycle in first part of their career if this would even be a conversation point right now.

Care is good, ya'll are crazy.
I honestly think they just need a break from writing. They've released something new every year since 2015. And Acceptance Speech came out the at the end of 2013, there's clearly a bit of a burnout.
Ideally, a new vocalist would be cool for the next one and Tilian would go back to Tides of Man. Both of those things are definitely not happening though. He seems to be working for them considering they are officially about to have 4 albums with him.

Don't get me wrong, I like Tillian in the band, but I think the main issue is with each new singer their sound has changed to fit said singer, and it's perhaps getting a bit stale? So you're right TheSpirit, I think it's 'cos of their early career people bring it up and it's even a thing
