I'm convinced that the first verse part in Je Suis d'alleurs is a top 3 Alcest moment, those vocal melodies are so good. Might be my favorite track here. Yeah drums play a huge role in how great this is.

I've been digging that track more and more.

The section from about 2:30 to about 4:00 is so much fun. Of course I love when they turn it up right after, but the overall highlight for me is when that all comes to a head at 6:05 and Neige belts out that same melody from the beginning that you're talking about.

Eclosion might be my new favorite on here, but possibly because it's an album epic that I've just heard the least times out of the four. Agreed about the drumming and Je Suis, that guitar solo/effects laden section is just the best.

Eclosion was my first favorite from here but it changes a lot. Je suis d'alleurs went up a rank after seeing it live, it was the first song he used the harsh vox on and it was really powerful.

That was the same for when I saw them, such a stunning song to hear live.

Yeah title track rules, if I had been told that the follow-up to shelter would be a contender for my favorite Alcest album, I never would have believed it. I never thought they would return this darker/heavier sound again, makes this album that much more excellent.

Good to hear. I fell in love with this so fast, it was ridiculous. I still listen to it regularly.
