I never really slammed I just gave Katalepsy and Defeated Sanity positive reviews in like 2013 so Lloyd and Simbolic took that as me listening to nothing but generic slam which is a bit rich considering the latter is neither generic nor slam ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Also yea prob, I've always had a soft spot for Katalepsy.

lmao, def san aren't even slam tbh.
they do groove every now and again, but they blast and shred a lot more than they slam.

slam is when you listen to suffocation and go "damn i wanna play like that but let's make it all breakdowns instead and make sure to squeal like a pig for no fuckin reason"

i don't really care for slam either way but yeah

Not even close to tired of this yet.

You'll have to excuse my instrumental noobery but it took me a few listens to realize that it was actually Frank dueling Erik on the Psycotropia solos.

Pretty incredible what these guys do.

And when someone says slam I think of Waking the Cadaver and I want to pretend like I never heard of such a thing.

shredded wheat m/

most slam is not that bad though

also yeah tetrastructural minds slays. idk when i say wore off i mean from like a 4.5 to a 4 maybe, and i'd rather listen to individual songs than the whole thing. it's obviously still very good

honestly with this new one i feel like vektor pretty much confirmed just how uncontested they are as far as new thrash bands go. like it's not even close anymore.

which is a shame because i love thrash and i hate that most thrash revival bands are generic and derivative as fuck, but at least we have vektor.

"and i'd rather listen to individual songs than the whole thing. it's obviously still very good"

honestly i feel the same way about this album too. the only difference is, it doesnt have an eternal jam like Tetrastructural Minds that u can just listen to any time and never get bored

Most anything isn't that bad lol.

Transtructural Minds is pretty amazing but I think pre-Terminal Accelerating Universe is their best track. And that's topped only barely by Recharging.

I actually like Outer more overall though (than BF), I feel like it's not as technically impressive as BF and doesn't riff quite as hard but it has better songwriting and just follows really well. Great atmosphere.
