I only rate 5s because anything else is pretty hard for me to decide. My appreciation of albums can vary a lot over time, but a 5 is a 5 imo.

Haven't heard them but if you're gonna rip off Dissection at least do it as well as Sacramentum

I just jammed Thulcandra for the first time a few weeks ago and they do emulate the dissection sound big time. They're not bad but definitely not the best to do it either. Found a couple solid tracks of theirs though during my little venture into their stuff

One band to rip 'em off nicely (while even putting their own touch on it) were The Moaning. Their only album Blood From Stone is actually more than decent. Check 'em out!! btw way better than Sacramentum IMO, and with a stonger individual note, while still VERY Nödtveidtian

Couldn't agree more on The Moaning. Probably found it a few years ago at most but it's without a doubt a hidden gem

Just ordered this on vinyl! Stoked to finally get my hands on it on wax. Been looking for awhile but even the reissues go for dumb money. If anyone is wanting to grab one up Hells Headbangers has it on black and blue vinyl. They're $36.99 which is a bit steep but still better than the prices typically see for it

Am I the only one who still collects CD's? I never really got into vinyls for some reason. But it would cost an insane amount of $$ to replace even half of my collection with vinyls lol.
Idk, I mostly collect CD's just because I like having physical copies and checking out the inserts and all that. Of course I play them when I first get them, but after that I just listen to my rips for the most part.

Honestly I just got back into collecting vinyl. I used to collect everything though. Vinyl, CDs, tapes. I sold off most all of my collection a few years ago though and since then I've been sticking with mostly vinyl now that I'm diving back into it. I still buy CDs here and there though especially if it's something I feel like I'll jam in the car cruising around quite a bit.

I somehow have two copies of the Japanese version of this CD.
It's a bit mind-numbing how expensive the white limited vinyl of this is

Considering it's a test press I bet it was insanely limited. If you click onto the listing though the guy says for trade only so he's not really looking to fetch that for it. I'd been trying to track down a purple one for awhile before copping the blue one I finally got
