Rosa, don't start it with pots, she/he is a waste of time, always looking to argue. Ignore

What I mean by 'relatively' is kendrick just doensn't stack up as a lyricist to legends and other modern rappers, it's much more than him simply not being 'the best' , I feel like theres thousands of underground lyricists are outdoing kendrick. Practically every time I check out someones REC they say is good they are outdoing kendrick lyrically.

as for examples, my usual recs: Eminem, Royce Da 5 9, Slaughterhouse, Ellay Khule, KRS-One, Immortal Technique, AZ, MF Grimm, MF DOOM, etc.

as for newer examples, or people in his class: Lupe for one, but I don't really listen to enough new rap to say

the thing is hes more of a slick rick protege story-teller kind of rapper, but my point is people should acknowledge that and stop making him out to be the modern day MJ of rap. hes kind of a one-trick pony in a lot of ways, and again that sounds harsher than I want it to, cuz I like Kendrick and have listened to him for almost a decade now... i just dont get THIS MUCH hype. He does REALLY excel in many ways but he also has some pretty significant flaws imo

I get what you mean, underground always has amazing lyricists and artists that don't get enough attention. I love him, but i know that the stans go all out on the ott hyperbole. (admittedly i do to lol). Strictly musically, what did you think of this album though?

production/flow/song writing wise, its as well crafted as almost any rap album I can think of musically. thats never been primarily what I look for in rap though, i just want to hear some lyrics I can think about later, and i've never been disappointed by insanely repetitive rap beats if they are done right (IE DJ PRemier)

PS Ron Paul will eventually go down as the man who planted the seed that defeated the two-party crony monopoly system that is US politics.

You just reminded me, PRhyme is an album that came out last year, you should check it out if you haven't already, you'd like it.

"PS Ron Paul will eventually go down as the man who planted the seed that defeated the two-party crony monopoly system that is US politics."

Yeah, he certainly broke ground for new politicians looking to break away from the usual standards of R vs D. Or more of the independents to come out and have a chance. Interesting guy. Finally some fresh ideas on the table. Just with the 2 strong parties, hes always been pushed aside from his party and seen as irrelevant because hes not your usual politican different ideas.
