Empty Days is a fucking excellent album though. It's annoying the hype focused on the okay lyrics instead of the brilliant music.

But yah, refused

Personally the music on that album is what i found just "okay". It lacked the umph of their last two albums and the production was really thin. Beyond that the replay value was nil. I never once looked at the lyrics until the day I reviewed it and even then it was just a glance.

Really! Each to their own I guess, but I thought the music did stuff I haven't really heard in much hardcore, especially the way it intertwined with the mood of the lyrics. The production was a bit odd though

lol terror is ok... i dont have any of their records but theyre a fun live band

i can't agree or disagree with whatever he says bc i've never listened to this record and i dont know jack about refused besides the fact that they apparently influenced every band that i like that came after them, but if what he says is true i would say it's "an interesting perspective" and not "the dumbest thing i ever heard"

I mean, he lashes out against Refused for not having supported the hardcore community after they broke up, but the band members have started several other projects during the years. Also, Dennis has gone to a huge amount of shows in Sweden during the years, cheering for new underground bands.

Furthermore, to make the claim that Terror and their peers are true hardcore, because they are underground as opposed to the fake mainstream bands is moronic when you are playing for a fully packed tent with thousands of people.

The only thing I can agree with, is that Refused probably reunited for the money, which is very hypocritical.

What's important is that people are actually getting to actually SEE Refused (and in good shape too, I hear). Them cashing in doesn't really affect anybody.
