Your 8 year old self would enjoy it tbh

"I don't think even the most diehard LP fans would agree to that."
Nowhere near an LP fan, maybe that's why I think that. Can't get more than maybe 3 songs into Hybrid Theory, I think it's fucking terrible tbh, this is at least meh
"Your 8 year old self would enjoy it tbh"
This is something that irritates me about some people that listen to them (not an attack at you), but it seems like people only look at Hybrid Theory with relative favor due to nostalgia being factored in, rather than thinking it's actually a great record.

Well it is pretty nostalgic. After all it was released 15 years ago (you feel old yet?) I do think it's a great record though.

It's been a year since this came out?
What the fuck

tresm I'm not going to go as far as to say I think you have bad taste, but I'm not a big fan of any of your 5's, save maybe 2 or 3
I'll just say that I strongly disagree with you, and regardless of how influential it may have been, it didn't influence anything I'd personally consider good

This album is purely a forced sound, to try and prove something to the people that hated their last 3 albums. Couple of okay moments on this, but for the most part it made me cringe.

In absolutely no way were you agreeing with me, and if you actually did, you worded it quite awkwardly
Me thinking the album is maybe a 1.5 and you thinking it's a 5 absolutely warrants a mention of difference in taste
That's a good thing, my intention wasn't to be insulting
I'm certain it did, but again, nothing I'd personally consider "good"
"i don't want to say you have bad taste but I've noticed you gave yeezus 3.5 rating when it deserves a 0
thats pretty much the equivalent example of irrelevance of your comment"
I almost never criticize people for their opinions, only how eloquently, logically, and maturely back them up. This comment has failed on all three fronts.

Refer to my previous comment for a good debate. lol

I was trying to be fairly civilized until I read the Yeezus comment haha, apparently I didn't do a very good job
Then again I ate a fuckload of spicy food last night and thing's aren't going too well down there, so I've been kind of rude to a couple people today
I can def understand your opinion tho Gonzo, fells like they are kind of forcing it at points and makes sense in context of their discography
|

^Actually agree hard with this, aside from how they "shined" with it, because honestly I prefer their later records to the earlier ones

See Living Things actually felt like the band making an album that has a natural progress to it. I also really enjoyed it. M2M felt lazy and ATS was a genuinely decent effort, definitely their most ambitious album to date. This on the otherhand feels like it's sitting on the shoulders of kings, generic riffs, boring song structures and Chester for the most part sounded terrible on this.

Yeah, Rob has come a very long way since HT.

Brad was always a great guitarist, he just had to put his chops away to suit the style. I think that's another reason they went down this route. It all feels very contrived.

Honestly wondering if they'll go prog-metal after this one
