Maybe it’s because I live in Canada and have heard that track three thousand times in grocery stores, cars, offices, etc. It’s not a bad song, just highly highly overrated imo. Red Barchetta is orders of magnitude better

The other 6 songs on it are magnitudes better based on your previous comment. And Red Barchetta is a great song no doubt, but TS is another level. It’s one of the greatest classic rock songs ever crafted.

Also, Limelight > Red Barchetta

Oh yeah, absolutely.

I respect TS for its legacy in further positioning Rush as one of the all-time greats, and I mean, the track is immaculately constructed, has great rhythm, technically impressive without sounding showy, etc. I just can't latch onto it emotionally though. And ftr Limelight > Barchetta is the camp I'm in too, I just used it as an example because it's the very next track. Limelight is an interesting one, becuase it's obviously nowhere near as inventive or impressive as TS but I rate it much higher.

It would’ve been easier if you simply said you are tired of TS. Either way, you’re a fan and that makes me happy!

Well it's not just that I'm sick of hearing it so much; I never really connected with it much to begin with. But yeah! We're Rush fans and that's the most imporant thing at the end of the day. Legendary band, maybe best in the entire genre

red barchetta was always my favorite... its like a whole fucking movie in 6 minutes. to me the initial 4 song run is possibly the most legendary in all of rock music

sorry to deviate from the norm of this conversation but is Hugh Syme the worst high profile cover artist? like i think Moving Pictures is one of the only works of his that isn't the ugliest thing I've ever fucking seen
