It's not on the level of Sound Awake or even Themata but still a solid album. The production hurts it though. I'm just really keen to see where the go with their next album. I have a feeling it'll be heavier considering they've been playing a lot of Themata live recently (and especially Scarabs).

If only I could love "Alpha Omega" and "Om"...this would be a 5. The former song has been growing on me a bit recently though. Man this was all I listened to last year for like four months. So effin good.

Alpha Omega isn't one of the best songs but it's still pretty damn good. The whole heavier second half where Ian Kenny belts it out is awesome. I'm kind of indifferent to the interludes/intro/outros. They don't really take anything away from the album but they don't really give it anything either.
I think this is staying at a firm 4 for me. The problem is i like all of the songs but i only really love a few of them whereas with Sound Awake i love pretty much every single song on it.
They're doing 'Like A Version' on Triple J next week and i'm really curious about what song they'll choose (in b4 tool). I'm guessing the original song will be We Are.
And also, after their European tour finishes around July, they're writing until the end of the year. That means the whole 'ep' thing might actually be true.

They're not playing much from it live on their recent tour. It's pretty much all Themata/Sound Awake with 2-3 Asymmetry songs. They're also playing way more Themata material than they normally do.

They're also doing like a version on triple j this Friday. I wonder what they'll cover (in b4 tool).

It'll be something unexpected. Like when they covered 'Sleeping Satellite'. I'm guess the original will be 'We Are'.

So, they covered 'Hey Now' by London Grammar and it's pretty awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PDDORfQZZ8
They also did an acoustic version of 'We Are' and i think i may prefer it to the album version

I honestly haven't heard much from them. I know there's a fair amount of hype for them atm.

His beard is glorious. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
And for the Asymmetry haters - they were interviewed before the performance and basically said that Asymmetry was a one off and that the next album won't be like it.
