It's the Ascendancy of this era of newjack rip-off bands. It sounds good when you're not really familiar with the style, but when

you actually listen to everything else like it, it's just a radio-rock take on the current metalcore scene + Duran Duran choruses.

Lol. What a fucking moron! Jun junjun jun jun junjun AND IM HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLF!! Lol

Anyone else stoked to hear their new work? Apparently, the lyrical influence of the album will be much like the song 'Seven', which is pretty sick. I hope they found a decent replacement for bass though.

From what I understand, they're having the original bassist work on the album and then he's leaving. I could be wrong though.

I think they are one of the best "djentish" bands

They are hardly evem djent, if they tuned their guitars 1 step higher than no one would call them that I would bet.

@ Jake - i suppose so, but some songs are really good, Seven is pretty heavy and has a great melody, the architect is by far the most emotional song on the record, efflorescent is super major sounding and super fun, and obscure words is pretty heavy and has a sweet piano/guitar part

heart is actually the most emotional song on the album. the song in its entirety is dedicated to the guitarist's dead father.

that being said this album is awesome, and I still spin in weekly since I heard it shortly after it's release. STOKED to hear their new album.
