Literally the only point I didn't provide evidence on because it truly is something you learn in 5th grade.

Here's a hint: fascism and imperialism were idealistic responses to economic conditions of zero-sum-game protectionism. If you didn't know, fascists and imperialists started the wars.

First of all lol at copying and pasting Wikipedia like its authoritative.

Second, (most of) those causes stemmed from protectionism you dumbass. You have no broad understanding of history at all and all you're capable of doing is repeating shit you've heard other people say blindly based on "they sound smart".

Literally every cause Wikipedia listed besides the fall of the Ottoman Empire stems from protectionism: "political, territorial and economic conflicts, militarism, a complex web of alliances and alignments, imperialism, the growth of nationalism".

But yeah your patience must be running real thin right about now lmao

Yes. I'm not qouting wikipedia cuz it's authoritive, I never said, read the wikipedia article to learn all about the different reasons for WW1, I was just trying to illustrate that your approach is laughably reductionist. And it remains laughably reductionist when you say:

"political, territorial and economic conflicts, militarism, a complex web of alliances and alignments, imperialism, the growth of nationalism.....This all stems from protectionism."

It's really not at all. You're kinda just an idiot. Do I really need to go through 1 by 1 lol?

Militarism is in response to zero sum game. The idea is having powerful army to control the most resources. Nationalism is the same. The alliances also form for the same reason, mutually beneficial agreements to secure as many resources as possible. Japan was imperial to take resources from other countries because protectionism creates a zero sum game.

This isn't hard but you can just keep repeating "reductionism" without ever explaining how, you'll get really far in life.

I don't complain I just laugh at pathetic socialists and shit on their arguments for fun.

And honestly even flipping burgers is more intellectual than your career choice lol. At least there's some science involved, like the physics of flipping, as opposed to a bunch of hysterical nuts screaming which interpretation of the history of a delusional cave-dweller is right

I'm a salon-marxist and leech of the welfare state, specifically of the hard working corperations.

Also what you just explained is the concept that all the reasons for WW1 can be linked back to the fact that there existed nations. Well done. (Hint: this is correct, but unhelpful for your argument because 1. it doesn't in any way show that nations existed because of a zero sum protectionist scheme and 2. because OF COURSE WW1 was caused by competing nation-states, but how are proving that big wars wouldn't have by competing corperations)

Dear god Ed.

In the era of protectionism there was war routinely, as you already said.

After protectionism there was peace from mutually beneficial trade not hindered by government regulations such as tariffs. Instead of killing each other for a bigger slice of the pie, people figured / US hegemony created an international system where narions could grow the pie with unhindered capitalism and everyone's slice still gets bigger.

This is why Japan attacked us over a handful of disputed islands with a few tropical trees in the 40s and why Japan could destroy the US auto industry in the 80s and there was no threat of war at all. With no tariffs the cars benefitted US consumers, and our economy gained by having tariff free access to their consumers.

This is honestly something you shoulda learned in 5th grade.
