Ye are they just not making another record because of the pressure or?? I know their comeback was originally gonna be short-lived but haven't kept up w their band dynamics and stuff in a bit. I've seen them live like 3 times since they came back lol and they've been touring so much lately. Just seems kinda strange but hopefully they're paying the bills

But ye this album goes so hard. Need to jam their last few again, it's been a while. Always been partial to no answers. Also speaking from experience, great record to be caught driving in a snowstorm with

Empty glass is their best slow song

Album Rating: 4.5
Empty Glass is probs one of my lesser favorite of their slow songs but at the same time it definitely carries more emotional weight than most of the songs I've ever heard
like idk, i just kind of accept it as more of a special vibe/experience than a traditional song

cool stuff from a recent interview w geoff
"Thursday may have more music to come, but do we have full albums? I’m not going to push myself to write a Thursday album at this point in my life because I don’t want to fake it. I have a great catalog of work with this band that I love. I’d rather have anything that we add from here on is a true entry into that catalog, rather than an older guy pretending he’s still got the same amount of vulnerable pain and heartbreak that he did when he was a kid.
I’m always open to inspiration. If something great comes along, we’ll put it out. And if it doesn’t, we won’t, and I’m at peace with either of those things. That being said, I do want to get into more of a habit of writing with Thursday, just as an artistic practice that we can all enjoy because we stayed together for 26 years. We should let ourselves write and not judge the results, not discontinue the practice"

very cool stuff. I remember around when they came back for live shows him saying something similar in regards to future releases. theyd only do it if they felt it was right/that it meant something
I'd be cool with EPs kinda like how Anberlin has been doing it. I feel like you just can't make an album after this, it's such a perfect bookend. but at the same time, hey, if they're feeling it, I trust them.

Siiiiiiick. I’m so curious as to what they write/would write during these practices. They’ve altered their sound so much over the years and have so many influences that i don’t really know what to even imagine

Hands down my favorite Thursday album (was my introduction to them when I was a young sputnik lad.) Was kinda bummed they only played Fast to the End when I saw them last year but they still put on a sick show. Geoff had a broken leg.
