i mean at some point it's like the band is actively trying to prevent people from finding out about them

"just sounds like he's been listening to a bunch of j-pop and the postal service. i dig it."

do you not agree about the vocals and lyrics and their deliverance tho?

my prollem is this album is so perfect because the joyful exuberance is always matched by a really down to earth genuine moment of emotion. like "it's always the simplest shit that means the most" is basically the cornerstone of the entire thing. I feel like he forgot that at some point cos the new songs (well the one I've heard) was so polished and sanded off it sounded like an AI wrote it

" "Many of us who are LGBTQ go through a second adolescence because our first (5-18 yo) is about suppressing identity. So when we do get into our 20's we make A LOT of mistakes that most attribute to younger people because we never got to be younger people in our true identity.""

this is interesting. i can appreciate that. still hate his vocals on it.

its one of those things where its easy to respect the place where the artist is coming from conceptually and it makes you feel bad that you still hate the music.

Honestly, college socially feels like how high school should've felt for me in that regard, even though I came out in 10th grade... took a few years to be confident about it, probably wasn't until Freshman year of college that I'd be 100% unashamed of saying it to someone who didn't know

I hope Romaplasm explores that idea actually, it'd be cool, you know... gaining confidence when it comes to being open even after you've come out
