Meh, I've said it before and I'll say it again, this album tries so hard to put you off it, it's unreal. It's more like a blueprint for a great album, let down by reused motifs, terrible vocals, and the slower doomy sections are way too overused. When it really clicks (Skin Her Alive) it's fantastic, otherwise it's not. I enjoy listening to it, but I'm not gonna say it's remotely good because it isn't compared to what they'd go on to do

override, dismembered, and in death's sleep are masterfully written songs and skin her alive (while great) is honestly one of the weaker songs on the album

I completely disagree with this, but whatever. It's an album I don't personally like anywhere near as much as the masses, I'm in the minority. Indecent and Obscene has always been their truly great album to me.
