This was an album that absolutely blew open drumming for me. Had no concept that drums could go as crazy as Pridgen is going on the Wax Simulacra before I heard it as a teen. Jon Theodore was their most musical drummer, though.

It was the same for me Million. Pridgen has an absolutely legendary performance on this. It's actually kind of wild that he's not on more prog projects.

both have admirably succeeded in out-pooing this, but the new one is closer to those porcelain rims, while the s/t was flushed without a second thought

I listened to King Crimson for the first time yesterday (yeah, I know...) and I realized that Goliath is basically a modern version of 21st Century Schizoid Man. The songs are so similar that all I could hear was Goliath while I was listening to it.
