Ur projecting, this is a record for god-fearing Christians
Not my favorite Converge, but the opener and Dead are slept on

I never thought I’d see them make new merch for this era but these hoodies are fucking sick

The Saddest Day is one of the greatest album openers in any genre.
|

TIL there's a japanese noun that essentially wraps this album's title image/figure into a single word + can be used verbally in times of cope

Album Rating: 3.5
I used to love this wholeheartedly but it’s a freakin’ mess ngl
The Saddest Day is a jam tho / still great

You never loved me
now I cannot lie down in that bed
I cannot lie down in all of those old fears
I haven't slept, singe the colors from my glances
if I was bleeding, would you tell me?
if I was speaking, would you hear me?
you asked for everything but never loved
if I was praying, would you kill me?
You never loved me

the riffs!

Album Rating: 4.5
It’s not my favorite song here but the main riff on Color Me Blood Red is one of the filthiest things I’ve ever heard.
It’s weird they don’t consider this a full album, I get that without the live tracks it would run pretty short, but to me at least this easily clears WFCC, and is miles ahead of Halo. It’s kind of a mindfuck how much they improved in just a year or two. Halo is fine but this album is a watershed moment for the genre imo. To me it’s one of the most important hardcore records of the 90’s
