To 4.5 I have to really love an album (usually anyway). To be fair I need to listen to the three more, and see how each holds up. We'll see if I can be more generous or not.

If I rated based off of lyrical ability, I'd rarely give a metal album anything above a 3.
Technical ability, cohesive song writing, and a sense of adventure are the deciding factors towards how I usually rate albums. That is unless there is just an obvious con like bad production or bad vocals.

beef I was referring to the fact that he 4's albums that he think are only "listenable".
Obviously I don't have a problem with him giving this a 4, that's a damn high rating and probably what I would rate this if it wasn't for sentimental value.

Hey, it's good but it does have a couple of cringe moments like One Last Time and some of the parts in Beyond This Life go on for too long. I'm willing to overlook this though. This own.
