Another band that fell off so hard that it's made listening to their older stuff less enjoyable

I would say the exact opposite occurs for me and I treasure the great records even more, knowing they'll never drop anything close to them again.

And now I get to treasure this masterpiece on vinyl.

Turns out Anders has always sounded like shit. At least riffs are solid.

Anders gets too much hate. Dude has been a serviceable vocalist for a long ass time and honestly sounded pretty badass through colony

Nah, Anders sounds great in the early records. Not too big of a fan of his style on Clayman but it in no ways ruins the album for me. He is very hit and miss on the later records though.

He was at his peak during whoracle/colony. But i still like his vocals here even if they are weird at times. Really the only vocals of his I dont like are his cleans post CC

Agreed hard.

Even on CC he was annoying, but I'd be lying if I said that wasn't mainly the production's fault. The vocal layering on that album is an incoherent mess.

Everyone has their preferences but CC riffs for days. And the drums are fantastic. Anders harsh vocals are ferocious. Some of the whiny vocals are off putting but they fairly few and far between outside of the title track

He's mostly alright on CC with some exceptions. It was on ASOP he started to become unbearable with all those whiny sounds at the end of most lines. It was such a huge dealbreaker at the time that I just couldn't continue being an active fan.
