Also I am so fucking hypocritical because I put Trent on a throne like most do with Maynard.

Oh well, I'll just listen to NIN forever and not care.

That's fine. Trent is a legend and the Fragile has godly production.

So true. The production is fucking incredible.

Trent understands atmosphere like very few do.

The difference, for me, at least, is that Trent seems like an approachable guy, and I've always found his commentaries on the industry to be very insightful. I like Maynard too, and I think he's probably a good guy, but he's so damn sarcastic and cold, that's hard to tell what kind of person he actually is.

People's opinion's of Maynard wind up becoming more important than the music, but I guess its hard to separate them. Thats a whole different conversation, though, I guess.

Deviations is wild! I downloaded it, and want to eventually grab the actual vinyl (when my wallet permits).

I have his whole discography on vinyl besides The Slip and Year Zero. Been waiting for the definitive editions forever now. Has said "Coming Soon" on NIN Store for years now.

I love Maynard's work in Tool, but he's kind of a dick.

I agree. Trent, now that he is sober, seems much more approachable. He isn't pretentious. He's just a realist, and I appreciate that.

Ultimately, it's still all about the music, but Trent being a cool guy makes it much more enjoyable. I wish I was a fan during the Hesitation Marks days because that tour seemed impeccable. The rendition of Sanctified on that tour gives me everything I need in music.

The only time I got to see NIN was in 2013 on that tour, and yes, it was immaculate.

My parents got me on Depeche Mode and The Cure, but never listened to NIN.

It wasn't until my 20's that I started listening, so I barely missed it. Very unfortunate.

I will give a nut to see him if I have to.

Had a couple drunk ladies in front of us shouting about wanting to sit on Trent's face, it was wild

LOL hilarious. My fiance is ridiculously attracted to him, too.

It's wild that after 30 years, he still sounds the same.

If you haven't, check the episode of Song Exploder on Netflix about Hurt; some real good nuggets in that

It's great, man! He also did a Song Exploder (the original podcast) on The Lovers from Add Violence. It's also really cool.

Thanks guys.
