Electioneering might be my favorite track. Always found it weird that it’s somewhat divisive. I guess I just like fun too much.

Do you like Lucky? That seems to be the filler track for most people

This album is a musical timepiece which reflects a society finding itself more protected, connected, reliant upon and ultimately disconnected as a result of rapidly changing technology.

Every song is a reflection upon the organic amalgamation into a digital world where isolation, self importance and lack of awareness lead to despondency and lack of purpose.

These are themes that rang alarmingly true back then, still do and will forever more.

All this is conveyed and tied together by music that stretches between blistering rock, disjointed chords, spine tingling melodies and one of a kind soaring vocals.

Fail to understand it in an instant, 2.5 it and bin it. Nice one Marvin.

I mean, if you're looking for solos and virtuoso instrumentation in art rock you're going to be let down pun intended. Seriously though how can you say this is a snoozefest when compared to WYWH when that has literal ambient portions.

Just listen to it again

Fuck the themes, it's purely amazing songwriting

But Kaiwaz, this "sounds like it was produced with a time limit" is so untrue! The quality of the production had been one of the steadiest factors throughout their career I would argue. So crisp, not bloated at all, everything in its right place.

There's a solo in Paranoid Android btw, and a pretty cool one at that

I thought this was utter boredom at first then one day, quite randomly, the magic appeared and every moment just jumped out as the best thing I'd ever heard. I can't explain it but it was pretty much the best experience in my music fandom.

Damn, seriously? I think it’s one of the best songs here.

Letdown and Exit Music are the two best though without question.

I just heard a fascinating doc on Exit Music For A Film, because the hacked/leaked recordings show the progression of the song.

Yorke starts with some dissonant wailing + acoustic but by take ~23 they end up with that stunning piece of music. Amazing stuff. Thanks again, hackers.
