Well, the thing is, from what I've heard, the cuts of the sessions provided from the band themselves aren't even a part of this 18 hour leak, so god knows how many hours are actually available in this band's collection - for this one album - not counting every other one.
Being the Radiohead-obsessive I am, I'm going to start diving into the leak this weekend.

God I'm only just hearing about the leak and all the goddamn links have been taken down

The full-band demo of True Love Waits on disk 1 is kind of a jam.
Who'd ever think this song could have a sick bassline?

From Radiohead's Facebook page:
We got hacked last week - someone stole Thom’s minidisk archive from around the time of OK Computer, and reportedly demanded $150,000 on threat of releasing it.
So instead of complaining - much - or ignoring it, we’re releasing all 18 hours on Bandcamp in aid of Extinction Rebellion: https://radiohead.bandcamp.com
Just for the next 18 days. So for £18 you can find out if we should have paid that ransom.
Never intended for public consumption (though some clips did reach the cassette in the OK Computer reissue) it’s only tangentially interesting. And very, very long. Not a phone download. Rainy out, isn’t it though?

lmao Thom's message on the bandcamp page is hilarious
"we’ve been hacked
my archived mini discs from 1995-1998(?)
it’s not v interesting
there’s a lot of it
if you want it, you can buy the whole lot here
18 minidisks for £18
the proceeds will go to Extinction Rebellion
as it’s out there
it may as well be out there
until we all get bored
and move on
Thmx"

Are there some proper unreleased (and finished/or at least somewhat fully fledged) songs on there? I don't really care for demos or slightly different versions of songs that have been around for decades

No clue. The news came out 5 mins ago. I'm gonna make a news post for it in a bit. Haven't had time to research anything

Really? The leak happened about a week ago, so it's not exactly brand new
hehe
So if anyone listened to the full 18 hours, they would know already

I haven't listened to them but yeah the leak's been out there for a while. some crazy Radiohead fans/legends went through and marked down what each song is in a google doc, it's not a link to the leak but if you want to scroll through and see if anything appeals to you

(there's apparently an alternate cut of Lift that demolishes the OKNOTOK version)

Really? They only just posted anything about it this morning. Do you mean that the leak happened a week ago or people have known about this for a week?

the actual leak happened a week ago (I posted it a couple comments up in this thread), Radiohead themselves just addressed it today

Thank you Rowan.
Yeah the leak was pretty viral too, most big music publications had an article about it

Holy shit that google doc is overwhelming. There seem to be a lot solo Thom Yorke recordings which seem like unfinished songs but there are also some full songs that are rehearsed. Hope this will be somewhat split up by someone who uploads the news songs separately on Youtube so that they then can be added together in a new playlist

Anyone make it through the leak in the end?

definitely not lol but the Google doc is very helpful in finding the stuff worth listening to
the much-vaunted Lift on disc 15 is indeed fantastic, though I think full-band Motion Picture Soundtrack is probably my fave

How many times have you listened? Gonna take a few. Letdown is one of the greatest songs ever made.
I didn’t like Radiohead all that much back when this came out and they blew up (in my mid teens at the time). It wasn’t until my early 20s that I started actually listening to their albums and not just singles. And they definitely grew on me.
I’m not a huge fan — I mean, I do love them, but I mean not huge in the sense that they wouldn’t make my top ten favorite bands.
Have you listened to their other albums? I’m Rainbows is probably the most accessible and best entry point imo.

...or maybe they just aren’t your thing lol. I’m sure they feel insanely overhyped in your head so it would take an adjustment.
