I rate music objectively, Divergent. While this is a 5 star record musically speaking, the production is an insult to my intellect.

I feel like the follow up to this record will be much better but I'm not sure why. I also get the feeling that the band will put out another record in like 2-3 years or so. They're all old and now that they've done it, and returned the pressure is off this time.

Gilmour and Waters couldn't be in the same room. Waters refused to work with anyone.

Maynard has multiple bands and collabs heavily with them. You just disagree with the way he approached that record. That's fine, but this is nothing like Waters post-The Wall.

This is just... wrong. Look at videos of them at the end of their concerts. They still clearly like being around each other.



Also, this album (the cd version without the segues) is perfect up until culling voices' drop-less drop. Tempest could've been great if it was 8 minutes.

I don't think he hates his fans, i just think he's a sarcastic introvert and tool fans think he's the messiah so theres a bit of disconnect there.

i remember watching an interview years ago when some dutch guy was interviewing Maynard and Danny and the guy was in a band himself and idk how that subject came up but Maynard was like ''Hows your band doing?'' and said it in a really sarcastic way, kind of mean but also kind of funny how he said it, the guy was a real mess of an interviewer and very nervous

I've seen him on two Rogan episodes and he seems disappointingly normal.

he is kind of strange in his life and hobbies though I mean he was in the military but also an artist (similar to bob ross in this regard) he was into sports and wrestling and such but also a sensitive artistic weird person. And he does MMA and grows grapes for wine and basically owns a small town and funds things there. On top of all this he's in TOOL. Strange guy at least as far as his hobbies go.
